New Favorite Nail Polish! | Barry M

I have found 2 amazing nail varnishes from the Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine range that I thought were to good not to share.
You all probably have these, but I have fell in love with them.  I also like the fact you don't have to put a top coat on your nails to get them to look shiny and glossy, although I'm guessing they wont last as long?
(£3.99 for 10ml)
The Blue is in the colour Blueberry (315) and the Pink in Pomegranate(312).
The Blue comes out as you see it in the pot.  Its bright and summery, perfect for when we eventually get some nice weather here in England!  I am yet to try the pink one, but I'll be sure to do a review on them properly once I have used them enough times!
The formula is nice and thick, so you don't have to apply as much product, although it is best to use 2 coats to get a good, solid colour payoff.  The only thing I don't like about these are the smell, its vile in my opinion, but apart from that I love these! The formula is really quick drying too!

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish - Instant Boost Skin Tonic | Review

Love At First Wipe!

(excuse the pun!)

After using these product for around a month now, I thought it would be fair to review it as I have given them a fair run!
Firstly i'll start with Cleanse & Polish. I love this cleanser, it's now my staple cleanser in my skincare routine.  I never really had a skincare routine as such before.  I used Soap & Glory's 'Peaches & Clean' cleanser occasionally, but I just used to think taking my makeup off with a makeup wipe was enough, clearly I had been living in the stone ages and didn't realize what I had been doing to my skin and how many amazing products were out there to try!

(100ml pump £13.25)
The consistency of this cleanser is amazing.  It's thick and creamy and feels lice when applied to the skin.  I have started to see some real results with this product! My skin is a lot clearer and feels plumper and refreshed after I use it.  The Muslin cloths are soft and gentle on the skin, even round the eye area.  You don't need to press hard or scrub hard to get any makeup off your face, it just simply glides off your face with little effort needed! If I wear heavier makeup for say a night out, I don't find my self using any more of the product than I would when I wear day makeup.

What I Do
1. I'll run a sink full of hot water and soak my muslin cloth in it before I start to apply any product.
2. I squirt 2 pumps on to the back of my hand and apply straight to my face.  Don't wet the face, apply it over all your makeup!  I use little circular motions.
3. Take a small amount and start on whichever part of the face suits.  I start on my cheeks, then chin, then forehead, then my nose and last my eyes, you don't want to smear eye makeup over your face.
4. After I have worked it all rinse out the muslin cloth and using the same circular motions ill start on my cheeks , chin, forehead, nose and then eyes last again.  I pay special attention to the areas around my nose, the corners of my mouth and under my eyes as I don't want to be rubbing under there!
5. After everything is off my face, Ill pat my face with cold water and pat dry with a towel.

Its so simple, yet so effective! I think the muslin cloths make all the difference too!

--------------------------------------------

The next item is Liz Earle's Instant Boost Skin Tonic.  As I have said in a previous post, I didn't really understand the point of a toner, but after I had a natter with my grandma, of all people, she enlightened me.  So I started using this toner as part of my skincare routine.

Within 1 month I can already see the toner is doing its job.  I have quite big pores near the apples of my cheeks and already I can see a massive difference in them, they have halved in size!  I am amazed at the results.  Its so refreshing and cool on your face, and doesn't leave your skin feeling tight or sticky or like you have a mask on.  It sits on the skin so lightly.
All I do is soak a cotton wool pad in the toner, and then I swipe it across my face and neck, targeting the pore areas more, just making sire all the last bits of makeup are removed.

I'm sorry this isn't the best review of this product, but these are more my thoughts and what its done for my skin rather than a detailed and indebted review! :)

Wishlist | May

Here is my May wishlist!
I'm going to do monthly wishlists & also Monthly favorites!

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation
(£27.45 -cheapest I could find - 30ml)
I have been looking for new foundations that are light enough for my skin, and give me some amount of coverage.  I can never find any high street brands bar Gosh & Rimmel that do a shade that matches my skin.  Others are either to dark, to pinky toned, or to yellowy toned.
I watched a video by EssieButton about this foundation, and she has pretty much the same toned skin as me, and it gave her skin a really nice glow, so I'm dying to give it a go!
The only thing i don't like is that you have to buy a pump for it, unless you don't mind pouring it out!

MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation
(£24 for 40ml)
I have wanted this foundation for AGES, but have always found my self going back to Gosh.
I could never justify spending so much for a foundation, but I guess you get what you pay for, right? I have heard loads of good reviews about this foundation, so, I think now is the time I should splurge and buy it!

MAC Pro Eyeshadow Pallet
(£6.50 for the pallet - £10 for the eyeshadow)
I have started to love using eyeshadow recently, and have again, been eyeing up a pro pallet and a few eye shadows.  I have stuck to highstreet eye shadows, like the MUA pallets, which are great, but I want to try and broaden my collection and start making a nice, decent quality collection, and I think a Pro Pallet is a good place to start.  I like the fact you can pick your own shadows to go in them, rather than buying a pallet where your not going to use half the colours.

Yves Rocher So Elixir Purple Perfume
(£44 for 50ml)
I received an adorable little sample of this in my April Glossy Box & instantly fell in love with it. I love everything about it, from its packaging to the scent.  It smells 'Grown Up' if that makes sense? All my other perfumes have smelt sweet scented, apart from my Viktor & Rolf Flower Bomb perfume.
Im going to use the offer that I got on the back of my Glossy Box leaflet to purchase a 30ml for £29 and that includes 2 free gifts (a shower gel and a body lotion worth £30.

Essie Nail Lacquer
(£7.99 for 13.5ml)
Again I received my forst Essie polish in my Glossy Box this month.  I wasn't to keen on the colour as it took me around 3-4 coats to get any sort of colour, but I love nail polish's & have a rapidly growing collection.  I love bold, bright colours on my nails & have seen alot of Essie polish's that i need in my collection, so I will be purchasing a lot more for my collection!

Well, thats it for my May Wishlist, all pretty basic things really and I know a lot of you will already have all of these things and think I'm very far behind on my beauty :P

My Current Skincare Routine

I thought, since its coming up to summer I would change my skincare routine to see if my skin would improve, even a tiny bit and I would be happy!
I have spot prone skin, and i find it hard to keep it under control sometimes, but, recently I brought the Liz Earle April Skincare Regime while it was on offer.  I thought after hearing so many good things about it from YouTuber's and bloggers I would give it a go and see how it suited my skin.

So, here are all the products I use daily.
There all from Liz Earle and as I said all together cost £43.00.

The first product I use is the Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser with the Muslin Cloths provided.

I brought the starter kit of the Cleanse & Polish first to try it, & when I saw the offer I thought, just my luck!  But I'm glad I have 2 now!  This cleanser is now one of my staple products in my regime.
The consistency is superb, its nice & thick, a really creamy formula.
I squirt 2 pumps on the back of my hand &  rub it on my face in little circular motions, really working it into the skin to get all of my make up off.  I do my eyes last as I don't want to rub all my eye makeup all over my face first.  While doing this, I soak my muslin cloth in a sink of hot water so its ready when i need to take it off.  So, after rinsing the cloth out, I work again, in small circular motions starting from my cheeks, then working in towards mt nose, forehead & chin, I rinse the cloth after I have cleaned one part of my face so I'm not just smearing it all across my face.  The eyes come last as they require the most attention as I love wearing liquid eye liner, I'll rinse the cloth a last time and go over my whole face again just to make sure, and then I'll put the cloth to wash.  I see some people using the cloth twice, but as I have spot prone skin, I don't feel if I use it again it will be clean.
I tend to only cleanse at night because that's when i feel my face needs it the most.

The next product I will use is the Instant Boost Skin Tonic.

I have never really been one for 'Toners' as such, I never really fully understood what they did, but i gave this one a go as, again, I had heard really good things about it.
It has a very floral smell to it, which i think is really nice, I love scented things.
I pour a generous amount on to a cotton wool pad and start from my nose and work my way outwards, just wiping it across my face, getting rid of any makeup that may be left after the Cleanse & Polish.  It doesn't leave your face feeling tight, as I have found with some toners that I had used in the past.  It really refreshes your face and leaves it feeling super soft and fresh.  Sometimes on a 'lazy day' when I have no make up on & just want a little refresher, I'll use this to just give my skin a little boost.

The last product is their Skin Repair Moisturizer.

This is by far one of my favorite moisturizers, barmy Soap & Glory Night In Shining Armour night cream.
The texture of this moisturizer is very light and creamy, I wouldn't really say it has much of a scent, but when applying it, it sits on the skin so nice, and doesn't feel heave or sticky.  It sinks in really quickly so your not left with a sticky face.  It again refreshes the skin and leaves it moisturized and fresh.
I apply it in circular motions from the center of the face and down to the neck.  You really don't need a lot of this product, as they say 'A little goes a long way!'

That's all the products I use when its time for bed and I want a nice cleansed fresh face.

In the mornings, I don't cleanse my face, I'll occasional use a little toner for a boost in the morning.

One product I have come to love is Eyebright Soothing Eye Lotion.
Its similar to the toner I guess, but its for your eyes.  It reduces puffyness and dark circles, making you look more awake in the morning.
What I like to do is soak 2 cotton wool pads in a little bowl & place them over my eyes for about 5-10 minutes.  It really does wake you up!  It feels cool and fresh on the eyes, I guess that's what makes them feel so fresh and awake!  I love this product!

Ill moisturize in the morning before i apply my make up also.

So thats my current skin care routine, I know its all based around one make, but I have found that its really helping clear my skin and keep breakouts to a minimum! If anyone knows any other breakout treatments, please let me know!

Sorry its been a rambling post!

Hello New Hair!

I decided to go to the hair dressers and have my hair cut at long last. I needed the ends tidying up as I have my hair dip dyed they had gone all brittle and split etc ...

I then decided to get my fringe cut back in for the summer.

I can't believe how short my hair now is! It's mental!

What do you think?

Another Liz Earle Post | April Skincare Essentials

Recently I ordered some more Liz Earle products from their website (I wish they sold it at the shopping center near me :( )
They had an offer on their site for 'April Skincare Essentials' which included their Cleanse & Polish, Instant Boost Skin Tonic, Skin Repair Moisturizer and a complimentary, full size Eye Bright Soothing Eye Lotion.  Also included were a muslin cloth and as with every order a complimentary sampler of a product.
All in all, that's a lot of Liz Earle products!
All together it came to just £43.00 and that included free P&P! ]
The items all together should have come to £58.00 and that's not including the free Eye Soothing Lotion (I don't think) which is another £10.75!
I'm so pleased with all my products, the delivery time & the packaging!

I LOVE Liz Earle packaging its clean & fresh, but pretty to, as I've said before.

I like that with every order they give you a complimentary gift aswel to try out I guess!

I'm going to be doing a full review of the products once I have given them all a fair try and test!

Rudimental - Waiting All Night | INSPIRING!

I have just seen the video to Rudimentals new song, and it has given me butterfly's!
The Video is just, inspiring to say the least!

I really feel the need to share this with you!
The video is based around Kurt Yaeger and his recovery from a serious accident in 2006.
It made me think that my problems are nothing compared to what some people have to deal with and struggle with.

Here's the video!

Whats On My Face

This post is going to be a 'Whats On My Face' post as per the title.

I'm just going to run through the products.
None of them are high end by any means and today was a lazy day so I just did a really basic face.

Please excuse the state of this brow pallet!
