Max Factor FaceFinity All Day Flawless Foundation | Review

As the title says, this is a review of Max Factor's 'Face Finity All Day Flawless Foundation' , well more of a first thoughts rather than a indebted review as such.
I brought this foundation on a whim, as Boots and Superdrug didn't have the foundation I wanted in my shade, as per usual.  Originally I was after the L'oreal Infallible Long Lasting Perfecting Foundation, what a mouth full! I then couldn't find it so I dragged my boyfriend through 40 minuets of foundation shopping :D
I came accros the Max Factor stand and spotted a few foundations that were pale enough for my ghost like skin, but I settled for this one!

Firstly I payed £11.99 for this foundation, which I think is reasonable.  You get 30ml, but a little really goes a long way.  It claims to be a Primer, Concealer and Foundation all in one.  I partly agree with this, although I wouldnt say it 'Conceals' very well.  Its more of a medium coverage foundation, but you can build it up to be high coverage, without it looking patchy or cakey on your face.

If you suffer from dry skin, I wouldn't recommend this foundation, as it sets matte I feel it would exaggerate dry skin, but normal and even oily skin I think this is a winner!  I have quite oily skin and it doesn't budge or go shiny at all.  I don't need to touch it up at all and you don't even need to use a setting powder!

I got it in the shade 40 -Light Ivory which is the lightest shade they do.  I get really annoyed with 'drugstore' brands not catering for the lighter skinned skin, but hey ho, nothing I can do bout it.

This foundation sets matte and applied really easily, although there are techniques I tried while applying which didn't work for me. The best way to apply this foundation, which I found is with a Beauty sponge.  I have the Cosmopolitan one which costs £4.99 from Boots, Superdrug and I think I have seen it on Feel Unique too. I tryed to apply with my fingers and it doesn't have the same 'airbrushed' effect as the sponge, the same with my Real Techniques brushes.  The brushed work better, but don't give a as nice finish as the sponge.

Overall I am very happy with this foundation.  I love it!  I urge you all to go and buy it!

Thanks for reading,

Toodles
x
